Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City Offers Evening of Relaxation and Philanthropy, BK Connect: Girls Night In

Overland Park, KS—Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City’s Women’s Philanthropy is offering an evening for women ages 21-45 to create spa treatments from essential oils on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 6:30 pm at the Barkley Advertising headquarters in the Crossroads. Attendance is $25 per individual.

This year’s BK Connect features a “Girls Night In” where young Jewish women will socialize while creating spa treatments using essential oils. Each women is creating lip balm, nighttime foot rub, bath salts, scented lotion, to take home or to give as a Hanukkah gift! The evening also includes, pizza and salad, with Kosher options provided.

“This program provides the opportunity for like-minded women (ages 21-45) to socialize and make new friends in a relaxed environment while learning more about the Kansas City Jewish community,” states Lisa Schifman, director of Women’s Philanthropy, “BK Connect events are always a nice way to make new connections.”

Sheryl Kaplan, Women’s Philanthropy board member, will lead the program and provide instruction on how to make the spa treatments. She will also discuss the health benefits and uses of essential oils. Lisa Stolper and Leah Swartz are the event co-chairs.

Women’s Philanthropy is part of the Kansas City Jewish Federation, raising over 25 percent of the total Federation Campaign dollars each year. These funds go to support over 70 critical programs in Kansas City and around the world.
