To sustain and enhance Jewish Life at Home and Around the World.

Seth Freiden, 38

Who said you have to put down your toys to get serious about business?  Seth has done both!

Providing affordable, safe, and fun novelty toys, carnival prizes, and party supplies has been a goal of US Toy Company since inception. In 1953, Seth’s grandparents founded US Toy as a toy rack distributor from their apartment living room. US Toy/Creative Playthings have also pioneered the emerging educational toy business geared towards preschools, daycares, and early childhood education, and have filled the void of “good” educational resources available. Their commitment to forgo offering violent toys as part of their product mix exemplifies their adherence to principle verses profit. Also, the company promotes toys which are “good for the child” not just the current “licensed toy”. The family strongly believes that over time, consistency not trend chasing will ultimately be a competitive advantage.  Having stewarded the family business, Seth comes from a long line of community-minded leaders in the Jewish community.

Profession: CEO of US Toy Company

My cause: Being the best father and husband possible! Serving on the boards of Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City (my passion project), and JLead, which encourages young Jewish professionals to become philanthropic for local Jewish causes. While previously living in Chicago, I was on the board of North Ave Day Nursery which is a non-profit daycare serving low income families.  Also golfing when time allows.

Kansas City needs: A fully functional school system that helps educate children productively in order to give each child a better chance at the American dream in their adult lives!
